Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026 · Applies to fridaygrid.com and successor domains
1. Who we are and what Friday Grid is
Friday Grid is operated by Friday Pictures ("we", "us", "our"). It is an aggregator and discovery directory for film-industry vendors, technicians, services, exhibitors and community features ("the Platform"). By creating an account, listing a business, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
We are a directory, not a marketplace. We do not process payments, hold funds in escrow, take commissions, or act as an agent, employer, or contracting party for any engagement that begins on the Platform. All negotiations, agreements, payments, and disputes are strictly between the users involved.
2. Accounts and verification
- You must verify a working mobile number or email address (one-time code) to list a business, message vendors, vote, or join community features.
- Verification badges reflect only what we checked: a "Verified" badge means a moderator reviewed the listing and its contact details — it is not an endorsement of quality, pricing, or reliability.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share verification codes with anyone.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Listing accuracy
- Everything in your listing — name, city, rates, tags, union/association membership, photos, showreel, credits — must be truthful, current, and yours to claim.
- Indicative rates are understood to be starting points for negotiation, but they must not be deliberately misleading.
- Uploading someone else's portfolio work as your own, claiming credits you do not hold, or impersonating another person or business is grounds for immediate removal and a ban.
- New and edited listings may be held for moderator review before appearing publicly. We may decline or remove any listing at our discretion.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or discriminatory;
- Spam other users through messaging, or use contact details found on the Platform for unrelated marketing;
- Manipulate demand signals, votes, ratings, or reports (including coordinated or automated activity);
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export Platform data without our written permission;
- Attempt to probe, disable, or circumvent security or moderation controls;
- Upload malicious files or content that infringes anyone's intellectual property rights.
5. Content you upload
You keep ownership of the photos, showreels, and text you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and reasonably promote that content as part of operating the Platform (e.g. showing your listing in search results or a featured section). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for cached copies and content already shared by others.
ID documents uploaded for verification are stored privately, are visible only to moderators, and are never displayed publicly.
6. Reporting and moderation
- Any signed-in user can report a listing. Reports are reviewed by moderators, who may verify, suspend, or remove listings and accounts.
- Filing knowingly false reports is itself a violation of these Terms.
- Moderation decisions are made in good faith. If you believe a decision about your listing is wrong, contact us (Section 9) and we will take a second look.
7. Disputes between users
Because engagements happen off-Platform, we cannot adjudicate commercial disputes (unpaid fees, quality of work, schedule failures, and the like). We encourage you to: (a) put every engagement in writing, (b) confirm rates and deliverables before work begins, and (c) resolve disagreements directly or through your union/association. We may consider documented dispute patterns in moderation decisions, but we have no obligation to mediate, and we are not liable for any user's conduct.
8. Liability and disclaimers
- The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of business arising from your use of the Platform or from any engagement formed through it.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to ₹1,000 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is higher.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot be limited under Indian law.
9. Contact and grievances
Questions about these Terms, moderation appeals, and grievances under applicable Indian law can be sent to the contact published in the Privacy Policy (Grievance Officer section). We aim to acknowledge grievances within 72 hours.
10. Changes, suspension, termination
- We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves; material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
- You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction.
